Trip to Ethiopia
Going to Ethiopia and visiting a variety of the projects that Sport Relief support was a harrowing, enlightening and uplifting experience.
Driving round the streets of Addis Ababa at 5 in the morning, it hurt to see the tiny bundles of clothes that are children sleeping in the streets, especially as I have a son who is 4 and not much younger than some of those vulnerable children fending for themselves. I visited a shelter and workshop that Sport Relief supports and saw that a small amount of money goes a long way.
No matter how tired I'll get, I'll appreciate how lucky I am and that every pound Sport Relief raises will have a huge effect on somebody's life.
